Citrus began as a family farm, graced by a lemon garden that has been part of our heritage for generations.
While it has hosted guests since 2012, its true transformation took place during the pandemic. A maverick niece returned from Japan, moved into the villa, and breathed new life into every corner. During those quiet months, she renovated the spaces and restored the old garden, rediscovering a slower, more mindful rhythm of life.
Citrus, much like Matilde herself, experienced a breakthrough—becoming a space of growth, renewal, and unexpected joy.
When she’s not hosting or tending to the villa and the animals that call it home, Matilde travels to collect handmade treasures, fabrics, and spices—bringing back stories and new friendships from around the world.
